My Mission to Amplify the Patient Experience
A2A Consulting is a Pacific Northwest–based organization founded by Aimee Adelmann, a communications professional with more than 15 years of experience in patient advocacy, storytelling, public speaking, and nonprofit communications. As a kidney transplant recipient born with a rare disease, Aimee brings a deeply personal understanding of the transplant system that informs every aspect of her work. This lived experience, combined with her professional background, allows her to recognize and elevate the critical role patient voices play in shaping advocacy efforts and advancing meaningful, equitable health systems change.
Aimee has built her career at the intersection of story and strategy, helping organizations communicate complex, often misunderstood health and policy issues in ways that are clear, human, and impactful. She partners with nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and advocacy groups to develop communications and engagement strategies that resonate across diverse audiences, including patients, donors, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and funders. Her work is grounded in authenticity and ethics, ensuring that stories are not only compelling, but also respectful of the individuals and communities they represent.
In addition to her consulting work, Aimee partnered with Floating Point Films to produce the award-winning documentary A Donation Conversation, a powerful film that brings the donation and transplant journey to life through the voices of donors, recipients, families, and medical professionals. The film reflects her commitment to storytelling that informs, connects, and inspires action.
Through A2A Consulting, Aimee specializes in translating complexity into clarity, helping organizations move from information to understanding, and from understanding to impact.
